Our client is an International Container Terminal operator in Chennai with yard capacity of around 1.25 million TEUs per annum. It envisaged to modernize the TOS application. Existing partners took care of the application modernization and migration. The client was looking for a system integrator for data center modernization.

Our Approach

We approached our client’s business challenges by proposing a dedicated setup for TOS application. We deployed Oracle SPARC T7-1 servers for database along with Oracle VM for SPARC and Oracle RAC. The supporting applications were consolidated in VMware setup. Additionally, we built the Dell servers SAN solution with Oracle ZFS ZS3-2 Storage and Redundant Brocade SAN Switches. Using Commvault Simpana and Oracle SL150 Tape Library, we implemented an effective backup solution. We leveraged our partnership with Cisco for core routing and DC core switching and Fortinet for link load balancing. We bolstered the DC Network Security along with IPS & Anti Malware from Cisco, and External with Proxy & Internal DMZ Firewall from Fortinet.
