We approached the client’s business challenges by designing a scalable & flexible system with the highest Reliable, Available, Serviceable (RAS) RISC Architecture Server family from IBM Power Systems with POWER9 technology for HANA Databases, to address their business needs for the next 7 years. The SAP Application Workload and DMS were proposed to run on Lenovo SR850. To enable concurrent execution of multiple workloads, PowerVM virtualization and SUSE KVM Virtualization were configured with redundant Mellanox Switching Solution as Ethernet fabric utilizing resources efficiently. For Data Management needs IBM V5030 SAN Storage was added with redundant Cisco MDS 9148S as SAN fabric. We also provided IBM Spectrum Protect Data Management Solution for protecting the critical data.
