Role Summary:
As a Server Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the organization’s server infrastructure. Your role will involve troubleshooting server-related issues, managing system performance, and ensuring the availability and security of server environments. You will monitor server operations, apply patches and updates, and collaborate with other IT teams to support mission-critical applications. Additionally, you will play a key role in disaster recovery planning, data backup management, and implementing best practices to ensure optimal server performance and uptime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience in all aspects of Windows Server, including installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and best practices.
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix XenServer).
- Experience with Windows Server performance tuning.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in resolving Windows Server issues, problem fixing, root cause analysis, and configurations.
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring systems and ticketing systems.
- Exposure to server backups and restores.
- Exposure to Active Directory and Windows technologies such as DNS and DHCP.
- Exposure to scripting for automating daily tasks.
- Exposure to disaster recovery.
Qualification:
- Any UG/PG degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Windows server support.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Preferred ITIL Certification.
