The Challenge

Our client is a major public sector bank with 3,400 branches across India and 6 foreign branches. The bank envisaged to modernize their datacentre by consolidating multiple silos of application infrastructure across multiple departments into a common infrastructure. It required to migrate different workloads ranging from a custom-built application, Oracle Database, MySQL Database, Web Workloads, DWH Workloads across all environments.

Our Approach

We approached our client’s business challenges by designing a compute solution with Oracle SPARC T8-4 servers. We built a high availability solution with Oracle Solaris Cluster using N+1 active-passive redundancy in DC. We adopted virtualization and consolidation approach using Oracle VM for SPARC. With IBM Storwize V7000 storage and redundant Cisco SAN switches, we seamlessly implemented SAN solution. For LAN, we included Cisco Nexus 93000 Series switches.
