What challenges have you faced in your role, and how did you overcome them?
In my role, I frequently confront the challenge of encouraging others to welcome change. Collaborating with process owners to pinpoint areas for enhancement can sometimes be daunting, as it involves conveying the need for a shift in approach. Despite the initial resistance, I strive to demonstrate the benefits of adaptation and propose alternative solutions to address issues. Overcoming this obstacle requires patience, effective communication, and a steadfast commitment to driving positive change. Despite its challenges, witnessing the gradual acceptance of new ideas and methods is incredibly rewarding.
What is interesting about your role and your team?
What I cherish most about my role is the autonomy it offers to meet deadlines efficiently. The open communication channels within the department foster a collaborative environment where I can seek clarification on processes and receive valuable insights from colleagues. Working closely with the CFO and other General Managers has been enlightening; they patiently guide me and welcome my contributions, which continually broadens my skill set and enhances my professional growth.
Tell us about your best moment at Inspirisys.
The memorable moment for me would be my first report presentation in front of our Executive Director and CEO, Murali Gopalakrishnan. When I entered the room, I felt nervous and unsure of myself. However, my fears quickly disappeared when he kindly explained things and talked to me like a colleague. Even though he holds a senior position, he never made me feel unimportant. After the presentation, I was excited to keep discussing with him because it turned into a valuable brainstorming session for me.The best part of this experience was receiving his appreciation email the next day. His recognition of my efforts is priceless and has greatly boosted my confidence.
Can you share a life lesson you've learned along the way?
My journey to becoming a CA is nothing short of a rollercoaster ride, for that matter anybody who has experienced that path, knows, what a tumultuous process it is. Throughout my journey, I encountered numerous challenges that tested my resilience and determination. Facing failure in my initial attempt was disheartening, but I didn't give up. I learned to keep going, to stay focused no matter what. Ultimately, this experience taught me the value of perseverance and the rewards that come from firm dedication towards achieving the goal.
Can you share your achievements beyond your work?
Beyond work, I'm passionate about outdoor sports. As a National Level Throwball player, being part of a top-tier team remains a cherished memory. Lately, I've also been active in Badminton, winning local tournaments. Weekends are my escape to recharge through sports, rejuvenating me for the week ahead.
Tell us what’s on top of your bucket list.
At the top of my bucket list is a solo trip, an adventure I'm eagerly awaiting. Within India, I'm drawn to the mystical landscapes of Meghalaya, while internationally, I would love to visit Venice and the captivating destinations of Europe.
